SPECIAL HAZARD PROTECTION
FOAM SUPPRESSION
High and Low Pressure CO2 System Foam used in fire protection is an aggregate of air-filled bubbles formed from aqueous solutions, and is of lower density than the lightest flammable liquids. It is mainly used to form a coherent floating blanket on flammable and combustible liquids to prevent or extinguish fires by excluding air and cooling the fuel.
GAS SUPPRESSION SYSTEM
Gas suppression systems extinguish fires by removing the oxygen content to below 15% where most materials do not burn. They are activated by a smoke detection system that detects the early presence of smoke.
WATER MIST SUPPRESSION
Water mist systems are fire suppression systems that use very small water droplets to extinguish or control fires. These droplets are effective at controlling fires while using less water and having smaller piping.
TRANSFORMER FIRE SUPPRESSION
Some of the main considerations when talking about transformer fire protection are fire walls & separation, water based fire protection systems, containment, drainage and lightning protection.
TUBE BASED FIRE SUPPRESSION
Here’s how they work: During a fire, the portion of the tube nearest the point where the most heat is detected ruptures, forming a spray nozzle. The pressure decreases as the tubing releases fire suppression chemical from the cylinder through the spray nozzle (burst hole) to effectively suppress the fire.
KITCHEN HOOD FIRE SUPPRESSION
Kitchen hood suppression system gets activated when it detects flames or excessive heat. When the system is activated, it discharges wet chemicals via its nozzles. These nozzles are over the appliances and in the ventilation system over the hood of your cooking station.
